Project Director/Senior Project Manager - Aviation

Compensation: $223,911.19–$248,790.22 annually

What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership for large-scale aviation, terminal modernization, expansion, and capital improvement programs.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects across planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Develop project delivery strategies, governance frameworks, reporting structures, budgets, schedules, and risk controls.
• Coordinate terminal operations, airlines, tenants, security agencies, contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and airport stakeholders.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and support mentoring, recruitment, succession planning, and performance management.
• Oversee financial performance, safety, quality, sustainability, regulatory compliance, and executive-level reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, aviation management, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience managing aviation, infrastructure, transportation, or terminal development projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex airport terminal projects, capital improvement programs, or aviation infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and construction administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive-level decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management and reporting tools.

Nice to have

• PE, RA, CCM, PMP, or another relevant professional certification.
• Experience with large hub airport programs, major terminal modernization, FAA funding programs, ORAT, and aviation phasing strategies.
• Experience with public-sector clients and complex stakeholder environments.
• Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related discipline.
