Lead Project Manager (Aviation)

Location: Newark, New Jersey, United States — 3 Brewster Road, Terminal C

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead complex aviation infrastructure projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Act as the primary liaison among clients, airport authorities, designers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, forecasts, and overall performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams and oversee procurement, contracts, consultants, and contractors.
• Review change orders, cost estimates, payment applications, permits, utility coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Lead project meetings, prepare executive-level reports, mentor junior staff, and maintain long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressively responsible experience managing large capital infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering complex public-sector capital programs and coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong background in construction management, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software; PMP certification or ability to obtain it.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering aviation or transportation infrastructure projects and working with airport authorities or transportation agencies.
• Knowledge of FAA, Port Authority, or other major aviation client standards.
• Experience with Design-Build or Progressive Design-Build projects.
• OSHA certification.
