Program Director, Airport Terminals

Location: Newark, New Jersey, United States; onsite at Terminal C. Relocation assistance is available for exceptional candidates currently residing elsewhere in the United States, including candidates moving to the New York metropolitan area.

Salary: $200,000–$290,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major airport terminal redevelopment and expansion programs.
• Act as the primary executive interface with airport owners, authorities, contractors, design partners, and other stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
• Develop execution strategies and oversee cost, schedule, quality, risk, governance, reporting, and executive communications.
• Coordinate design-build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, joint venture, and other alternative delivery teams.
• Mentor project managers and technical leaders while supporting client relationships, business development, and strategic growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience delivering major aviation infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of large airport terminal design programs in the United States or internationally.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams and large capital programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Strong executive presence, communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
• Thorough knowledge of airport planning, terminal design, passenger experience, operational requirements, and alternative delivery methods.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or AICP certification.
• Experience with major international hub airports and terminal programs valued in the hundreds of millions or billions of dollars.
• Relationships with North American airport owners and aviation stakeholders.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed project teams.
