Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager - Bilingual (Optical Retail)

What you will do

• Manage eyeglass department operations, retail costs, budgets, resources, and performance goals.
• Improve department efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• Supervise, motivate, coach, and develop opticians and other store associates.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and ensure quality standards are met.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing promotions, marketing initiatives, and daily store execution.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, retention, and apprentice optician mentoring where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Optical license required as mandated by the state.
• Optical sales experience and the ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of store operations and the ability to analyze and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE certification required.

• Previous supervising experience.
