Technical Product Owner (Payments)

Location: Atlanta HQ; hybrid work

hirify.global is an early-stage payments-as-a-service fintech startup providing embedded payment infrastructure for vertically focused SaaS platforms.

What you will do

• Own the delivery of product initiatives and releases by defining, documenting, and communicating goals, requirements, and constraints.
• Translate product strategy into functional and technical requirements for the Rails engineering team.
• Support agile ceremonies, communicate product stories, and drive delivery into production at scale.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog.
• Build collaborative relationships with product, engineering, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and vendors.
• Ensure vendor integrations within payment flows are accurate and maintained.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Experience with payment processing or PayFac products, including card payment lifecycles, interchange qualification, ACH funding timeframes, and merchant underwriting.
• Strong technical background and the ability to understand modern cloud-based SaaS payment architectures.
• Experience with product roadmaps, product vision and strategy, market research, requirements gathering, documentation, user stories, and agile Scrum teams.
• Experience with agile software development and continuous-deployment release strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, written, and communication skills.
