Sr. Technician - Factory Automation (Day Shift) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite in a 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing facility. Day shift follows a compressed 12-hour schedule, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, control, repair, and recover factory automation systems and mobile robotics equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance, respond to system error messages, and process wafers according to defined procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections and complete required reporting and documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
• Follow environmental, health, safety, and security procedures while participating in continuous improvement and skills development.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a global, cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• At least 18 months of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom while wearing gloves, a cleanroom suit, and required PPE.
• Ability to work a 12-hour alternating day schedule, remain on foot for up to 10 hours per shift, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment maintenance, robotics, or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Three or more years of related technical experience.
• Strong communication skills.
