Production Supervisor (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX. Extended hours, nights, weekends, or shift work may be required.

What you will do

• Lead production technicians and operators through daily and weekly build plans while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule accountability.
• Assign work, balance labor across stations, and make real-time decisions to keep production moving.
• Run shift start-up and hand-off briefings and maintain accurate shift records, labor tracking, and reports.
• Enforce work instructions, travelers, inspection requirements, workmanship standards, 5S, and shop-floor discipline.
• Troubleshoot production stoppages and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to restore flow.
• Train and qualify technicians, provide performance feedback, and drive team-led continuous improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or an industrial environment.
• At least 1 year of experience leading or supervising technicians, operators, or trades personnel.
• Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, work in an active manufacturing environment, and wear required PPE.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person compliant with 10 CFR Part 810 and may not hold non-compliant foreign citizenships.

Nice to have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, medical device, pressure vessel, or oil and gas manufacturing.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, welding, machining, or precision fabrication.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, standard work, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with MES or ERP systems, electronic work instructions, GD&T, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and quality documentation.
