People Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York (West Village) or London (Holborn)

Salary: $150,000 – $185,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including payroll, benefits, and onboarding for US and UK entities.
• Design and build scalable onboarding and offboarding programs from first principles.
• Administer benefits programs, including US healthcare/401(k) and UK pensions.
• Ensure operational compliance across both jurisdictions for all personnel processes.
• Automate repetitive workflows using internal AI tools and the Rippling platform.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee operational inquiries.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site five days a week in New York or London.
• Proven experience owning people operations at a startup through a growth phase.
• Hands-on experience processing payroll and managing benefits enrollment.
• Experience with US and UK employment infrastructure.
• Strong systems-thinking approach with a focus on automation over manual staffing.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

• Depth in UK payroll and pensions.
• Experience standing up new benefits programs in the US and UK.
• Fluency with Rippling.
• Track record of building internal tooling or automation for operations.
