EHS Manager (Manufacturing): Leading environmental, health, and safety activities across the Sagamihara and Takao manufacturing fabs with an accent on Japanese regulatory compliance, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, and occupational health. Focus on developing EHS teams, managing chemical and contractor safety, leading audits and inspections, and driving measurable safety improvements across both sites.
Location: Sagamihara, Japan; responsibility covers the Sagamihara and Takao fabs.

What you will do
- Lead EHS strategy, activities, and priorities across the Sagamihara and Takao manufacturing fabs.
- Lead, coach, and develop the EHS teams at both sites.
- Develop, implement, govern, and continuously improve EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Manage environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, chemical management, contractor safety, emergency response, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead EHS audits, ISO certification activities, regulatory inspections, and RBA compliance initiatives.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, facilities, HR, occupational health professionals, and global EHS stakeholders to resolve risks and strengthen the safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional EHS experience, including 5+ years managing EHS programs in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Experience applying Japanese EHS laws and regulations in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, chemical management, contractor safety, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, occupational health, environmental compliance, and RBA requirements.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English for meetings, reports, presentations, and daily collaboration with global stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing EHS teams, using EHS metrics, and driving corrective actions through completion.
Nice to have
- EHS-related professional certification, such as First-Class Health Supervisor (Dai-ichi-shu Eisei Kanrisha).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
