Senior Health & Safety Specialist

Location: Wilson, North Carolina, United States; onsite at a passenger tire manufacturing plant

What you will do

• Develop and implement policies and practices to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Identify unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions.
• Investigate accidents and work with engineers, management, and health and safety regulators to prevent recurrence.
• Provide guidance and training on safety protocols.
• Conduct audits and maintain compliance with organizational and government health and safety standards.
• Maintain and analyze workplace injury, illness, and absence records to identify areas of concern and support regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Safety & Health.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Lead projects or processes independently with limited supervision.
• Use advanced analytical and technical problem-solving skills to develop solutions.
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Employment eligibility in the United States is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.
