Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and execute site operating strategies aligned with business objectives, including capacity planning and capital investment.
• Direct manufacturing operations across production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and EHS.
• Deliver site objectives for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, compliance, and operational sustainability.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders across Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Commercial, and Manufacturing Operations.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives and standardize effective processes across the site.
• Build, coach, and develop the leadership team while driving engagement, accountability, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain, including proven plant operations leadership.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, EHS standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, operational KPIs, productivity, and cost performance.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluent Japanese is required for plant-wide communications, regulatory interactions, supplier engagement, and operational documentation. Business-level English is required for international meetings, presentations, reports, and collaboration with global teams.
