Head of Finance (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid with core working days Monday through Thursday in the office

Salary: $275,000–$315,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

hirify.global is a startup building an embedded finance and modern card platform for issuing and processing payment cards, virtual and physical payments, ledgers, and wallets.

What you will do

• Provide proactive financial analysis, strategic recommendations, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis to the CEO, COO, leadership team, and board.
• Guide annual planning and forecasting while overseeing revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, burn, runway, and financial performance.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, debt facilities, covenant compliance, and fundraising analysis.
• Partner with the Controller and external auditors to maintain accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant, audit-ready reporting and strong internal controls.
• Lead financial workstreams for strategic and regulatory initiatives, including projections and capital planning.
• Own the finance technology stack and use automation and AI across forecasting, reporting, invoicing, and reconciliation while preserving auditability.

Requirements

• 12+ years of finance experience, including strategic finance leadership at a high-growth payments or fintech company.
• Deep practical knowledge of payments economics, including card issuing, acquiring, interchange, network costs, money flows, and profit drivers.
• Experience scaling finance functions, managing burn and runway, supporting fundraising or debt, and working with external auditors.
• Track record of using technology, automation, and AI to improve financial operations without compromising controls.
• Experience leading finance teams and communicating clearly with sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to work in or near San Francisco under the hybrid office schedule.
