Cybersecurity Engineer III (Cleared)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations are Los Angeles, CA or Colorado Springs, CO. The role may require up to 25% travel for contract performance, customer site visits, and program activities. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Salary: $143,824–$215,736 annually.

What you will do

• Secure AWS and Azure cloud environments using native security solutions and cloud-native best practices.
• Automate Risk Management Framework control implementation, evidence collection, and infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Secure Kubernetes and containerized production systems through security policies, runtime monitoring, vulnerability management, and hardening.
• Deploy and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, encryption services, and identity and access management controls.
• Integrate Zero Trust, RMF, FedRAMP, and DISA CC SRG requirements into agile software delivery pipelines.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, security documentation, and AI-augmented delivery practices.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in cloud, cybersecurity, or platform engineering, including cloud and on-premises security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure GCC High, vulnerability management, and basic control implementation.
• Practical Kubernetes and container security experience, including runtime protection.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Linux administration, Bash or Python scripting, and security monitoring.
• Knowledge of networking security, including load balancers, DNS, SSL/TLS, firewalls, and NAT.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required; background investigation required if hired.

Nice to have

• Security+, AWS, or Kubernetes-related certifications.
• Client-facing experience delivering secure solutions for government or regulated organizations.
• Familiarity with DoD operations, Impact Level requirements, and Software Factory models.
