Staff Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Poland; fully remote work is available

What you will do

• Identify systemic security risks across applications, on-premises infrastructure, cloud environments, internal platforms, and software development processes.
• Perform security architecture reviews and provide actionable recommendations for new and existing systems.
• Work with engineering teams to identify weaknesses early in the software development lifecycle and implement practical solutions.
• Partner with the SOC to improve detection capabilities, analyze incidents and attack patterns, and strengthen security controls.
• Design reusable security controls, tools, automation, and services for engineering teams.
• Define technical security standards, engineering guidelines, reference architectures, and security best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, infrastructure security, product security, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience designing security controls for production environments and securing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with security architecture reviews, threat modeling, technical security assessments, application security, infrastructure security, network security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience securing cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong understanding of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, networking, and distributed systems.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, Go, Java, C++, or a similar general-purpose language.
• Polish and English are required; minimum proficiency is B2/C1.
