Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair)

Location: Portland, Maine metro area and surrounding areas; regular travel to customer homes is required.

Salary: $28–$32.50 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Travel to customer locations to maintain and repair LG appliances, televisions, and air-conditioning units.
• Diagnose product and system issues using tools, diagnostic equipment, and provided safety equipment.
• Assess repairs, replace parts when needed, and document findings accurately.
• Manage parts and inventory while completing service paperwork and data entry after each job.
• Pre-screen upcoming service calls and obtain information needed for diagnosis.
• Meet customer satisfaction, first-time-fix, revisit, parts-management, and overtime metrics.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a technical role; appliance repair experience is preferred.
• Experience repairing major appliances, including refrigeration and sealed systems, cooking products, and cleaning products.
• Practical experience using hand tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product and system issues.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to obtain the required EPA certification.
• Ability to perform field-service duties involving continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
