Repair Technician (Audio-Visual Equipment)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States. Onsite work in a warehouse, at event venues, and at hirify.global hotel locations, including equipment deliveries and show sites. Work may include irregular hours, on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly pay range: $20.82–$27.06.

What you will do

• Perform technical and cosmetic repairs and maintenance on audio-visual, lighting, show-related, facility-related equipment, and road cases.
• Troubleshoot and repair analog and digital circuitry to the component level using test equipment.
• Implement quality-control processes, document repairs, and update the Service Central work-order database.
• Research and test new equipment, prepare benefit and cost analyses, and identify product or manufacturing issues.
• Manage spare-parts inventory, maintain vendor relationships, order parts, and report repair metrics and ROI.
• Pick, scan, stage, sort, inspect, re-shelf, inventory, load, and unload equipment for transportation and event-site use.

Requirements

• Associate degree or diploma in a related technical discipline, or equivalent formal military technical training.
• At least 1 year of component-level fault isolation and repair experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair analog and digital circuitry to the component level.
• Competent use of a DMM, oscilloscope, and signal generators.
• Clean soldering and desoldering skills for through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, good mechanical and organizational skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, and ability to work independently and in groups.
