Associate Director, Salesforce Technical Architect (Salesforce)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid work remotely up to two days per week or on-site five days per week

Salary: $164,400–$246,600 per year, plus annual bonus and equity awards

What you will do

• Lead Salesforce architecture, technical strategy, and initiatives for the Mosaic patient services platform, initially supporting cystic fibrosis and kidney disease programs.
• Define and optimize the DevOps delivery operating model, CI/CD pipeline, release management, and production release schedules.
• Drive call center implementation and ensure architecture alignment across disease areas and business units.
• Design, document, validate, and facilitate architectural and technical solutions with cross-functional and development teams.
• Coordinate platform support, upgrades, integrations, vendor releases, quality activities, and operational improvements.
• Coach Vertex colleagues and onshore/offshore managed service providers while managing risks, resources, budgets, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience; the education and experience section specifies 8 years or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• Experience with Salesforce platforms, SaaS solutions, vendors, patient or product scheduling, and patient services systems.
• Functional or technical knowledge of cell and gene therapy, patient portals, chain of identity, capacity planning, and related supply chain systems.
• Experience with Salesforce Agentforce, AI automation tools, Agile teams, DevOps, GxP systems, security, disaster recovery, backup and restore, data retention, and archival.
• Experience leading platform teams, managing vendors and stakeholders, and working across business, information, infrastructure, and software architecture areas.
