Software Engineer I (Autonomous Systems)

Location: Sunrise, Florida, United States; onsite work in an office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $60,500–$92,500 per year

What you will do

• Plan, design, develop, debug, test, deploy, and maintain software systems and applications.
• Code, simulate, integrate, and validate software using modular, reusable, testable, and scalable practices.
• Write unit tests and contribute to software design reviews and algorithm development.
• Work through the full software development lifecycle within an Agile and Scrum environment.
• Track work in JIRA and collaborate with software developers and other engineering disciplines.
• Deliver assigned work according to project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 0–2 years of experience developing Windows or Linux application software.
• Expertise in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, C++, or Web UI.
• Experience with object-oriented design, data structures, databases, operating systems, source code management, unit testing, IDEs, and basic debugging.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for approval of an export license under ITAR/EAR; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt, test-driven development, Android, iOS, or React/Redux web development.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Experience working with the Scrum Framework.
