Senior Legal Counsel-Commercial (AI Cybersecurity)

Location: US remote; remote work with regular in-person team meetings and supported travel for collaboration.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise customer agreements, SaaS and software licences, proof-of-concept agreements, partnership and reseller arrangements, procurement contracts, and data processing agreements.
• Partner with Sales and Finance on deal structure, negotiation strategy, escalations, and practical risk management.
• Advise on AI-related commercial matters, including data use, model training restrictions, intellectual property, confidentiality, warranties, liability, and third-party AI provider terms.
• Support Product, Engineering, and Security teams with legal considerations for new capabilities, product launches, testing permissions, acceptable use, vulnerability findings, and sensitive customer information.
• Build scalable legal processes, including templates, negotiation playbooks, approval workflows, and training for colleagues.
• Identify emerging legal issues, coordinate specialist external advice, and contribute to broader legal projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial legal experience with substantial responsibility for drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements.
• Prior in-house legal experience at a technology company and experience working in a startup.
• Direct legal experience advising on AI products or services, including commercial terms, data rights, intellectual property, and risk allocation.
• Qualified lawyer admitted to practise in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong experience independently leading enterprise commercial negotiations from initial review through signature.
• Working knowledge of privacy, data protection, and information security issues relevant to technology contracts, with clear communication and strong ownership.

• Experience in cybersecurity, offensive security, or developer tools.
• Experience negotiating international enterprise transactions.
