Field Technician - Low Voltage Access Control CCTV

Location: Onsite in Raleigh, United States

Salary: $19.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, configure, and service security cameras, low-voltage cabling infrastructure, and access control systems.
• Perform hands-on work at schools and other educational facilities.
• Read and follow installation plans, diagrams, and scope documents.
• Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and administrators.
• Document completed work, report job status, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience with camera installation, low-voltage work, or access control systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces.
• Professional demeanor in school environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working in schools, colleges, or public-sector facilities.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards.
• Access control or security system certifications.
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, PoE, and switches.
