Electronic Safety & Security Consultant

Location: Hybrid in Boulder, Colorado, with additional U.S. office locations in Chicago, Dallas, Boston, and San Diego. Remote positions are available based on experience; travel may be required up to 10%.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design integrated electronic safety and security systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Translate client requirements into practical, technically feasible, and financially responsible designs.
• Conduct security risk assessments and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Develop project drawings and specifications, review contractor submittals and shop drawings, and support all design phases through construction and commissioning.
• Perform system acceptance testing and apply relevant industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with project executives, senior consultants, architects, MEP engineers, and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CCTV/video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and alarm systems, PA and intercom systems, perimeter intrusion detection, visitor management, security management systems, and network infrastructure for security systems.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication and superior time management skills.
• Ability to work in the U.S. office or remotely based on experience.

Nice to have

• ASIS PSP certification.
• CPP, PCI, CPTED, or CSPM certification.
• Manufacturer certifications such as Genetec, LenelS2, Honeywell, Bosch, Milestone, or Axis.
