Quality Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada

Develops robotic products requiring supplier, manufacturing, engineering, service, and product quality support.

What you will do

• Investigate supplier, production, engineering, product, and field-service quality issues across the product lifecycle.
• Manage NCRs, RCCA responses, corrective actions, supplier scorecards, PPAP reviews, FAI, and incoming inspection documentation.
• Support manufacturing through inspections, audits, MRB decisions, quality alerts, non-conforming material disposition, and production troubleshooting.
• Analyze out-of-box, production, scrap, FPY, and field-quality data to identify trends, risks, and recurring failure modes.
• Investigate returned robot components and coordinate corrective actions with Service, Repair, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Maintain quality records, calibration documentation, supplier certifications, RoHS and REACH compliance records, and transactions in Epicor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or a similar engineering role.
• Strong experience with root cause analysis, RCCA, NCR, CAPA, and non-conformance management.
• Experience reviewing PPAP, FAI, supplier corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PCBA-related quality issues.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and provide hands-on production support.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, automation, electronics, or complex electromechanical products.
• Experience with PCBA troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Experience with Arena PLM, Epicor, Salesforce, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of ECO, DEV, PPAP, FAI, MRB, NCR, RCCA, CAPA, RoHS, and REACH processes.
• Familiarity with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, SPC, and FMEA.
