Oncology Infusion Pharmacist, Float

Location: 100% onsite in Milford, Massachusetts, with clinical and operational support for Attleboro, Foxborough, and Milford locations

Salary: $115,000–$152,500 per year

What you will do

• Prepare, compound, verify, and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile products, chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, and investigational medications.
• Review medication orders and investigational protocols for completeness, appropriateness, and compliance before dispensing.
• Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems and adverse drug events in collaboration with providers and nurses.
• Perform quality-control activities for medication orders, prepared medications, compounding areas, refrigerators, emergency carts, and controlled-substance inventories.
• Support assigned pharmacy operations and clinical activities while overseeing pharmacy technicians and students as assigned.
• Work rotating shifts and provide direct patient contact in an oncology care environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• At least one year of pharmacist experience in a hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, or sterile compounding; alternatively, three years of retail pharmacist experience.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; additional licensure may be required for some satellite locations.
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, drug information resources, medication safety, and quality-control procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, prioritize changing responsibilities, and apply critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work safely with chemotherapeutic, biologic, investigational, gene-therapy, infectious, sharp, flammable, and other potentially hazardous materials.
