Oncology RN - Registered Nurse

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, United States; in-person work with travel between offices as needed

Salary: $31.85–$64.75 per hour

What you will do

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision.
• Assess patients, monitor therapy, and respond to abnormal laboratory results, scans, imaging, and drug reactions.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices and delivery systems.
• Manage patient flow, phone triage, care documentation, and communication with physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Assess patient and family needs and serve as a resource to Medical Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN state license and BCLS certification required.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• OCN certification preferred.
• Must be willing to travel between offices as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
