Salary: $89,470.81–$137,647.40 per year. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available to qualified hires, subject to onboarding requirements and a minimum three-year employment commitment.

Maryland Oncology Hematology is an independent oncology practice providing comprehensive cancer care, clinical research, and multidisciplinary patient support across Maryland and Washington, DC.

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology and hematology patients.
  • Initiate and document interventions, prescribe therapies as indicated, perform procedures, and evaluate patient and family responses.
  • Provide patient and family education, case management, wellness guidance, and community resource referrals.
  • Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice and support information sharing related to clinical trials.
  • Complete medical records and patient charge capture while maintaining compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements.
  • Round at affiliated hospitals, participate in weekend or after-hours calls, provide palliative care when needed, and mentor or precept other advanced practice providers and students.

Requirements

  • On-site hospital and clinical work in Columbia, Maryland, with possible hospital rounding and after-hours responsibilities.
  • One of the following: an MSN and accredited Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist qualification, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Typically at least three years of relevant practicing experience.
  • Current state licensure and registration for the applicable Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Physician Assistant, and/or RN credentials.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Physician Assistants must hold current NCCPA certification; AOCNP or AOCNS certification is preferred where applicable.

Nice to have

  • Oncology or hematology specialty experience.
  • AOCNP or AOCNS certification, where applicable.
  • Experience with clinical research, case management, palliative care, or staff education.
