Fuel Yard Operator - Federal Operations and Maintenance (Biomass Co-Generation)

What you will do

• Operate the fuel yard, boilers, turbine generator, and biomass co-generation plant equipment.
• Maintain daily operational logs and perform housekeeping, care routes, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Drive heavy equipment including bobcat, forklift, front-end loader, and Lull.
• Operate the Stacker-Reclaimer and power plant controls in the field and through the DCS control room.
• Maintain safety, regulatory, trade, environmental, and jurisdictional compliance.
• Provide on-call support and work varied rotating shifts as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site.
• Ability to complete position training and testing requirements.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license in good standing; ability to lift up to 75 pounds, transport heavier equipment and tools, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
