Quality Assurance Manager (Cannabis Testing)

Location: Vaughan, Ontario, Canada; must reliably commute to or relocate to Woodbridge, Ontario before starting work.

Salary: Up to CAD 80,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs function and guide the department’s growth, service expansion, and strategic direction.
• Maintain and improve the QMS, including SOPs, change control, deviations, CAPA, OOS/OOE/OOT investigations, audits, training records, and document control.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation readiness, including equipment calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ, proficiency testing, and coordination with accrediting bodies.
• Manage data governance and integrity in line with ALCOA+ principles, including audit trails, user access, logbooks, inventory, and collaboration with IT.
• Manage cannabis laboratory licensing, regulatory submissions, inspections, non-compliance responses, and compliance with testing limits and reporting requirements.
• Lead the QA/RA team, provide training, conduct performance reviews, and monitor quality and regulatory KPIs.

Requirements

• Must be able to commute reliably to or relocate to Woodbridge, Ontario before starting work.
• Must already be authorized to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• University degree or college diploma in Cannabis, Quality Assurance, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in an ISO/GMP-regulated environment, including at least 3 years in QA.
• At least 2 years of management experience with two or more direct reports and at least 2 years of Regulatory Affairs experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025, GMP, laboratory audits, Microsoft Office, LIMS, Excel, databases, and query software.
