Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager, Building Envelope

Location: Richmond, BC or Kelowna, BC, with travel throughout British Columbia

Annual salary: CAD 85,000–130,000

What you will do

• Lead and support building envelope assessments and investigations for roofing, exterior walls, windows, balconies, waterproofing systems, and parking structures.
• Perform condition assessments, leak investigations, invasive testing, and rehabilitation reviews for existing buildings.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and rehabilitation recommendations.
• Assist with restoration and renewal design and delivery, including construction reviews and contract administration.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, scope management, client coordination, proposals, and business development.
• Collaborate with Building Science, Structural, MEP, Environmental, and Sustainability teams; support QA/QC and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Building Envelope, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, restoration, rehabilitation, or building science projects.
• Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems, construction documents, specifications, contract administration, and construction review processes.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, specifications, and rehabilitation recommendations, with knowledge of applicable building codes and restoration practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills, plus the ability to work collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout British Columbia.

Nice to have

• Professional designation such as P.Eng., registered or eligible for registration with EGBC.
• Experience with AutoCAD and technical drawing review.
