Location: Hybrid in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office, Monday and Friday work from home.
Work authorization: Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship. This role is not eligible for immigration-related employment authorization sponsorship.

What you will do
- Perform actuarial research, experience studies, statistical analyses, calculations, modeling, and audits.
- Compile, categorize, document, and verify data for actuarial studies, projects, and reports.
- Prepare statistics, financial statements, premiums, reserves, benefits, and other actuarial information.
- Input data and run pricing, reserving, and asset/liability models.
- Analyze premium and loss data, evaluate results for reasonability, and communicate observations to relevant teams.
- Rotate through the business while developing actuarial techniques, product knowledge, and understanding of actuarial methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- Previous internship in actuarial science or a related field.
- At least one completed actuarial exam and active participation in the Actuarial Student Program with continued exams toward the FSA designation.
- Ability to interpret complex analytical data and communicate advanced mathematical and analytical concepts.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints on individual and team objectives.
