Onsite Environmental Technician I

Location: Lansing, Michigan, USA; onsite at the client site

What you will do

• Collect, identify, package, label, and properly manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Make waste pickups throughout customer facilities and perform chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Participate in spill response activities at customer sites.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks and support the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.

Requirements

• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Skill with hand tools, shop tools, and instruments, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work, stay focused, and manage diverse responsibilities.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
