Project Manager (Automation)

What you will do

• Manage automation projects for National Gas Transmission compressor station upgrades.
• Lead commercial, contractual, technical, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and scope management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across automation, functional safety, engineering, control panel manufacturing, and E&I installation.
• Manage customer relationships, subcontractors, procurement, invoicing, variations, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee delivery through FEED, detailed design, implementation, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Prepare project reporting, including progress reports and earned-value, CPI, SPI, and S-curve analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering engineering projects in nuclear, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical, energy and renewables, metals, or utilities.
• Experience leading health and safety, compliance, multidisciplinary project teams, customer interfaces, and project controls.
• Experience with contract management and NEC3/4, MF1, bespoke contracts, and CDM 2015.
• Knowledge of front-end, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, QS and planning functions.
• HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, APMP (PMQ) or equivalent, and professional membership such as IET or APM.
