Operator, Chemical

Location: Fontana, California, United States; onsite chemical plant operations

Salary: $28.06 per hour, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Monitor tank levels and process instrumentation.
• Operate pumps, valves, filter presses, controls, and other process equipment.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and support safe production procedures.
• Load finished goods and connect or disconnect railroad cars.
• Operate fork trucks, skid steers, and overhead cranes.
• Perform laboratory analysis tasks and other assigned production duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in chemical plant operations, industrial manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Technical school education or coursework in process operations.
