What you will do
- Produce and approve protection engineering detailed design packages.
- Prepare and approve engineering technical specifications and design risk assessments.
- Maintain design change control and provide timely responses to non-conformances.
- Coordinate the resolution of interdisciplinary technical issues with other departments.
- Attend client and site meetings, advising construction staff and supporting customer satisfaction.
- Support tendering and technical work related to type registration and design approval.
Requirements
- HNC or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in the electricity transmission and distribution industry, including UK transmission systems.
- Knowledge of current transmission and distribution standards and technologies applicable to protection engineering.
- Strong decision-making, communication, interpersonal, customer-focus, and self-motivation skills.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and inspire members of a project secondary design team.
