Methods & Tools Software Developer (Military Derivatives)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

What you will do

• Design, implement, optimize, and maintain software tools for processing and analyzing test data.
• Translate complex mathematical models into efficient software in collaboration with specialized Test Analysis groups.
• Help shape the technology stack for analysis tools by migrating and integrating the current toolset into the Time Series Analysis Tool Platform for Military (TSASM).
• Act as the technical point of contact between the Ground Station Team and the Spanish Analysis Community.
• Provide specialized technical support across avionics, mission, performance, handling qualities, powerplant, general systems, aerial delivery, and datalinks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline focused on scientific computing.
• Strong MATLAB programming skills for scientific applications.
• Proficiency in Python and core data-analysis libraries, including NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, and the Jupyter ecosystem.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools; Git is mandatory. Familiarity with Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies is relevant.
• Advanced English proficiency in written and spoken communication.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain software concepts to non-software engineers.

Nice to have

• Spanish for local team coordination.
• Experience with Fortran 77/90 or C++, or willingness to learn compiled languages.
• Familiarity with SimPy and Numba.
