Senior Software Developer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work from home and the office

Base salary: €60,000–€100,000 per year for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based rewards and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build cybersecurity orchestration automations through API integrations.
• Lead software projects focused on agentic transformation while remaining hands-on with design and implementation.
• Maintain and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing cybersecurity automations.
• Develop innovative platforms, automations, and playbooks for threat intelligence and security orchestration.
• Collaborate with threat detection security engineers to create solutions for detecting and responding to emerging cyber threats.
• Mentor developers and drive software delivery through day-to-day collaboration.

Requirements

• Senior-level software development experience with a track record of delivering API integrations using Python.
• Experience engineering agentic solutions.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cybersecurity analysts, application owners, and other stakeholders.
• Experience driving software delivery and mentoring developers.
• Strong communication, collaboration, integrity, and composure under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and environments.
• Experience developing SOAR capabilities.
• Knowledge of detection rule development using SIEM, EDR, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience as a security analyst or incident responder in a SOC, CSIRT, or on-call environment.
