Field Application Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Los Angeles, California; hybrid workplace. Willingness to relocate to the USA for customer and field engagements is required.

What you will do

• Act as the on-site and field technical liaison for platform software issues with OEM customers across the USA.
• Analyze and troubleshoot field system problems involving Ethernet, sensor connectivity, software updates, and vehicle communication.
• Collaborate with software teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve reported issues.
• Provide hands-on platform expertise during customer bring-up, integration, and validation activities.
• Support the development of automotive and autonomous vehicle products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive system debugging and testing.
• Knowledge of vehicle topology and ECU system architecture.
• Strong experience with Ethernet communication, CANFD, ETH, SOME/IP, and CANoe.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and proficiency in English.
• Willingness to relocate to the USA for customer and field engagements.

Nice to have

• 5–7 years of experience in automotive systems, software, or validation, preferably with ADAS products.
• Experience with multi-SOC ECUs, AUTOSAR, and network management.
• Advanced debugging skills for field issues.
