Mechatronics and Process Controls Engineer (Semiconductor Controls)

Location: Bangalore, India. Onsite role with approximately 10% travel; relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum systems.
• Build dynamic control models and perform system identification for thermal, fluid, and gas delivery systems.
• Tune PID, cascade, feedforward, model-based, and advanced process control strategies.
• Integrate and characterize mass flow controllers, pressure sensors, control valves, heaters, pumps, and process instrumentation.
• Analyze performance, troubleshoot control issues, conduct root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Support laboratory testing, data collection, equipment qualification, diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in process controls, automation, instrumentation, or semiconductor equipment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, chemical, or control systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PID control, model-based controls, process dynamics, system identification, and controller tuning.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent analysis and modeling tools.
• Experience with temperature and pressure controllers, mass flow controllers, control valves, vacuum systems, and process instrumentation.
• Semiconductor equipment experience is preferred.
