Senior Engineer, Systems (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Define customer needs, system functions, performance, usability, safety requirements, constraints, trade-offs, and risks.
• Develop MATLAB models using model-based design principles in collaboration with hardware and software teams.
• Decompose system requirements, manage requirements with industry-standard tools and spreadsheets, and develop product use cases.
• Conduct risk management throughout the product lifecycle in accordance with EN ISO 14971.
• Support usability engineering, reliability and robustness activities, integration testing, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with verification and validation engineers on test plans and documentation while supporting cost, quality, and schedule targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or master's degree with 3+ years of experience in biomedical, electrical, electronics, software, computer science, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in systems engineering for medical devices, medical imaging, or image processing, including hands-on development of MATLAB system models.
• Experience with medical-device development, FDA regulations, MDR, and FDA, ISO, and IEC design-control procedures and standards.
• Exposure to usability engineering and knowledge of IEC 62366 requirements.
• Experience with QFD, Pugh Matrix, CTQ, DFR, and DFX methods.
• Strong collaboration, communication, self-management, and multitasking skills.
