Linux System Engineer (DevOps)

What you will do

• Maintain, operate, and continuously develop Linux-based server landscapes, including SLES and Alma Linux environments.
• Administer and configure the Centreon monitoring environment and related MariaDB, poller, engine, reporting, and plugin components.
• Design and maintain configuration management and deployment pipelines using tools such as Ansible and SaltStack.
• Onboard new systems, develop custom Python and Bash check scripts, and integrate APM, logging, and performance metrics.
• Analyze system faults and performance bottlenecks, implement optimization and hardening measures, and improve operational processes.
• Create system documentation and operational concepts.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of Linux networking, storage, LVM, user management, systemd, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Centreon architecture, distributed pollers, Centreon Engine, MariaDB, plugins, and scripting.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools, preferably Terraform, Ansible, SuseManager, and SaltStack.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, SNMP, and Syslog, plus a degree in Computer Science or relevant vocational training.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
