Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud and Automation (Kubernetes/AWS): Building and optimizing resilient Linux-based infrastructure platforms with an accent on cloud engineering, automation, and distributed systems reliability. Focus on designing scalable Kubernetes and AWS environments, developing Python and Terraform tooling, and solving high-availability, security, and compliance challenges.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do
- Design, build, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure platforms on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure tooling with Python and Terraform.
- Contribute code and participate in infrastructure application reviews.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems and improve high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Advise on infrastructure stability, security, compliance, and system architecture.
- Collaborate across teams to implement technical best practices and business-aligned solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field.
- Expertise with Linux, Kubernetes, DNS, Kerberos, AWS, and AWS IAM.
- Advanced Python skills and a strong general programming background.
- Hands-on experience managing production workloads on AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Existing legal right to work in Europe is required; visa sponsorship is not indicated.
Nice to have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes certifications.
- Experience with open-source projects or contributions.
- Knowledge of Java, Go, or Bash.
