Senior Automation Engineer (Python, AI Agents & Automation)

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the US; candidates in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred, with flexibility for late afternoon meetings.

What you will do

• Design and implement automation across documentation, software development, localization, translation, publishing, and delivery workflows.
• Build and operate production-grade agents, skills, scripts, and automation pipelines that replace complex manual processes.
• Integrate documentation, localization, and content platforms using MCPs and REST APIs.
• Apply AI and LLM capabilities to generate, validate, transform, enrich, and manage content.
• Own reliability, performance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation systems.
• Define reusable automation standards and mentor team members through technical guidance and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or systems integration.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience building maintainable, testable, production-grade automation and agent frameworks.
• Advanced experience with Git-based workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and repository automation.
• Experience with Jira, Linear, or similar work-tracking and planning tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and AI-assisted engineering practices, including responsible AI considerations such as security, privacy, bias, and traceability.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or operating multi-agent or tool-orchestrated AI workflows at scale.
• Experience evolving shared automation frameworks used across multiple products or teams.
• Familiarity with observability, metrics, and cost tracking for AI-driven automation.
• Experience containerizing, deploying, or operating long-running automation or agent services in production.
