Senior AI Developer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; preference given for the EST time zone

What you will do

• Own the evolution of shared AI components, libraries, and platform capabilities, ensuring reliability, testability, and strong developer experience.
• Design and build AI-powered product features end-to-end, including LLM orchestration, prompt engineering workflows, evaluation, observability, deployment, and iteration.
• Build CI/CD patterns, deployment pipelines, observability tooling, and developer workflows for predictable production delivery of agents.
• Lead adoption of AI coding assistants, agentic development workflows, and evaluation frameworks.
• Build and optimize scalable SaaS platform systems, including background processing, APIs, ingestion pipelines, search and discovery, and PostgreSQL performance.
• Set technical direction, translate ambiguous requirements into concrete plans, conduct technical reviews, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience and deep proficiency in at least one modern backend or full-stack language.
• Experience designing agentic systems involving orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, evaluation, and agent-to-agent communication.
• Production experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI; LLM APIs; vector databases; and evaluation or observability platforms.
• Experience building scalable multi-tenant SaaS applications with C#, Ruby, Rails, Elixir, Python, or a similar language.
• Strong AWS or Azure experience, including cloud-native architecture, observability, and operational reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, testing frameworks, background processing, data pipelines, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, event-driven development, search systems, and security best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in government technology, public-sector, or compliance-heavy environments involving auditability, data isolation, and security reviews.
