Applied AI Architect (Cyber)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Annual compensation: $240,000–$315,000 USD.

What you will do

• Advise enterprise security customers on applying Claude to application security, secure SDLC, penetration testing, detection and response, and threat intelligence.
• Partner with account executives, account architects, Sales, Product, Research, and Engineering teams from technical discovery through deployment.
• Build reference implementations, evaluation harnesses, playbooks, and best practices for Claude-powered security workloads.
• Design and lead workshops and hands-on sessions using customer code and security workflows.
• Enable security ISVs, systems integrators, and managed security providers on shared customer engagements.
• Track workload adoption, identify product gaps, and communicate customer insights to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security roles, with hands-on expertise in at least two security domains.
• Experience in a technical customer-facing role or experience securing leadership investment for security initiatives.
• Experience working with large enterprise customers, complex buying cycles, vendors, and partners.
• Ability to explain security value and risk to CISOs and executives and translate between security, engineering, and business teams.
• Comfort with Python, CI/CD, cloud environments, and integrating tooling into engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks and practical use of LLMs for code review, vulnerability discovery, triage, or investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating security automation at scale, including scanning pipelines, triage systems, or detection engineering.
• Experience with regulated industries, semiconductor security, industrial control systems, export controls, digital-native organizations, or public-sector agencies.
• Experience with security ISVs, systems integrators, or managed security providers.
• Open-source security tooling contributions, published research, or CVEs.
