Equipment and Facilities Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, install, and support modern manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Write and schedule preventive maintenance activities and perform planned maintenance.
• Identify and control critical spare parts while improving sourcing processes and reducing costs.
• Support manufacturing operations so production schedules, plans, and customer deliveries are achieved.
• Contribute to continual improvement in OEE, safety, energy efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Communicate engineering project updates, support training, and mentor technicians and apprentices.

Requirements

• HNC or HND in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant academic qualifications combined with time-served engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently, use judgement, resolve issues, and recommend solutions for non-standard tasks.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Effective communication, organisation, prioritisation, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment and follow all health and safety regulations, including varied departments and shift patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor or SMT manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, pumps, or condensers.
