Senior Electronics Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Newport, United Kingdom; primarily office-based at the Newport factory, with work from home available one day per week as business requirements allow. Some international travel to suppliers or customers may be required.

hirify.global's SPTS division designs and manufactures wafer-processing equipment and process technologies for the semiconductor and related industries.

What you will do

• Design electrical and electronic controls, interfaces, assemblies, analogue and digital circuits, and embedded controllers.
• Design PCBs and critical safety circuits for wafer-handling systems.
• Support equipment design and integration within the Platform Hardware Group.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, build guides, and test documentation.
• Perform MS Windows imaging of embedded controllers.
• Collaborate with engineers and support delivery to tight deadlines in a regulated industry.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in an electrical or electronic design role.
• Experience designing PC/PLC-based controls and systems.
• Good understanding of electrical regulations.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or an equivalent tool.
• Adaptability, initiative, and willingness to develop new technical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing safety circuits.
