Intertechnology operates in the manufacturing sector, with this role supporting facilities and critical plant systems at a regulated site.
What you will do
- Supervise, coach, and manage the performance of 12 Facilities Shift Technicians across rotational shifts.
- Coordinate shift handovers, daily maintenance allocation, planned preventive maintenance, reactive work, and project support.
- Act as the escalation point for alarms, plant faults, and breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution and root-cause follow-up.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, maintenance records, BMS results, readings, and compliance documentation.
- Drive apprentice development and close team skills gaps through structured mentoring and on-the-job training.
- Support life-safety testing, KPI improvement, recruitment, onboarding, and deputise for the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
- Recognised electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled craft/technical qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of facilities plant, BMS systems, and critical utilities in a manufacturing or process environment.
- Experience supervising or leading a shift-based maintenance or facilities technician team, preferably in a semiconductor, pharmaceutical, high-hazard, or regulated site.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, permit to work, statutory compliance, PSSR, DSEAR/ATEX, and life-safety systems.
- Ability to plan and prioritise resources across planned and reactive workloads and communicate with Manufacturing, EHS, and senior Facilities leadership.
- Flexibility to respond to occasional out-of-hours escalations supporting the 24/7 shift operation.

- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, or active progress toward one.
