Network Engineer (SSE) (Enterprise Networking and Security): Delivering secure, reliable and high-performing internet proxy and remote access services for ING employees worldwide with an accent on network security, service availability and operational excellence. Focus on designing scalable connectivity solutions, resolving complex Tier 3 incidents, managing vulnerabilities and supporting network transformation initiatives.
Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with days at home and at the MAD office

What you will do
- Operate and continuously improve global internet proxy and remote access services.
- Design secure and scalable network solutions with engineers, product managers and infrastructure teams.
- Monitor network services, perform maintenance and resolve complex incidents and requests as Tier 3 support.
- Manage service lifecycles, report, patch and vulnerability remediation.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects, network transformation initiatives and Agile ceremonies.
- Participate in planned out-of-hours changes and standby on-call activities when required.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience work with network technologies.
- Experience with enterprise network and security solutions, includ proxies, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers and Secure Service Edge technologies.
- Knowledge equivalent to CCNA/CCNP level, with a strong focus on security, reliability and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results on time.
- Excellent spoken and written English at C1 level.
- A relevant Bachelor's degree is desirable.
Nice to have
- Experience with Check Point, Skyhigh, Palo Alto, F5 or Netskope.
- Experience with Python, Go or PowerShell script.
- Experience with automation and infrastructure automation practices.
- Interest in mentor, knowledge shar and team collaboration.
