Mainframe Network Lead (IBM z/OS)

What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain network software and services in IBM z/OS environments.
• Manage and optimize TCP/IP, VTAM/SNA, Communications Server, and high-availability networking.
• Resolve complex connectivity and performance issues using z/OS diagnostics, monitoring, and tuning tools.
• Implement network security technologies including AT-TLS, TLS certificates, IPsec, IP filtering, SSH, and secure file transfer protocols.
• Support migrations, infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery, incident management, and production operations.
• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors, mentor junior colleagues, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mainframe network systems programming or administration.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in IBM z/OS Communications Server, TCP/IP, VTAM/SNA, APPN/HPR, and Enterprise Extender.
• Knowledge of VIPA/DVIPA, Sysplex Distributor, Parallel Sysplex networking, and high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS commands, TSO/ISPF, JCL, network diagnostics, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Automation and scripting experience with REXX, CLIST, USS Shell, or similar tools.
