Field Service Engineer - Mechanical (Gas Turbines)

Location: Home-based in Taiwan, with more than 90% travel within Taiwan and internationally; assignments include Taoyuan, Mailiao, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.

What you will do

• Perform technically demanding installation and maintenance work on gas turbines and auxiliary systems.
• Carry out open-box inspections for supplied components and maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Perform hands-on rotating machine core engine assembly and disassembly, plus auxiliary maintenance activities.
• Handle spare parts, service and installation tools, consumables, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with site leads, supervisors, project teams, and customers while providing timely reports and records.
• Lead junior team members or subcontractors in specialized field tasks under strict quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, preferably focused on power generation or rotating equipment.
• At least 3 years of experience in power generation engineering, manufacturing technical supervision, or hands-on mechanical assembly.
• Experience with gas turbine or steam turbine installation and service, including core engine assembly and disassembly, is preferred.
• Understanding of project drawings, installation requirements, and product change management sequences.
• Proficient English and Chinese communication skills are required.
• Willingness to work shifts and travel internationally on short notice is required.
