Engineer, Production Process Support

Location: On-site in Marsiling, Singapore

What you will do

• Provide on-site and off-site technical support for the production of mass spectrometers, capillary electrophoresis systems, and high-performance bioanalytical measurement systems.
• Improve first-pass yield through failure analysis and engineering solutions targeting root causes.
• Address field quality and installation or warranty failures through corrective actions in manufacturing.
• Lead cost and yield improvement projects, including process and material re-engineering.
• Support product transfers and knowledge transfer covering specifications, line setup, processes, tooling, and fixtures.
• Ensure operational compliance with EHS requirements and SCIEX safety policies.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Mechanical engineering knowledge and at least one year of experience in a manufacturing or lean environment.
• Hands-on experience assembling precision parts, performing high-precision mechanical alignment, tolerance stack-up, and micron-level measurement.
• Ability to work effectively with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 5 kg.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GD&T and MSA.
• Experience with optical alignment techniques and testing equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test concepts and tolerance fit analysis.
• Experience operating and applying capillary electrophoresis or mass spectrometer instruments.
